# Header Operator
**Location:** Girard, OH
**Pay:** **$17.00+/hour** (Based on Experience)
**Shift:** MondayFriday | **7:00 AM 3:00 PM**
*Shift may change to **5:00 AM 1:00 PM** based on production needs.*
**Status:** Temp-to-Hire
Mancan Staffing is seeking an experienced **Header Operator** for a manufacturing company in Girard, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and experience operating and setting up manufacturing equipment.
### Job Responsibilities
* Set up and operate a variety of Cold Heading Machines used to manufacture formed products to customer specifications.
* Operate multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining production efficiency.
* Read and interpret blueprints for machine setups and part specifications.
* Inspect parts and ensure quality standards are met using Statistical Process Control (SPC) documentation.
* Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, dial indicators, depth gauges, plug gauges, and go/no-go gauges.
* Operate and maintain the Data Collection System for SPC documentation.
* Clean, organize, and maintain tooling in proper working condition.
* Perform minor tooling adjustments and troubleshoot machine setup issues.
* Identify nonconforming products and take appropriate corrective action.
* Complete all required production reports and SPC documentation accurately.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Communicate production progress and any work-related issues with the Floor Manager.
* Work closely with Engineering to improve tooling design and production efficiency.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
### Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
* Proven basic math skills.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
* Ability to multitask and adapt to changing production schedules and customer demands.
* Ability to perform regular heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling.
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
* Team player who can also work independently.
* Forklift experience is preferred or the ability to become certified.
