Job Description
The Material Analyst is responsible for ensuring material availability aligned with the SIOP plan while optimizing inventory levels and supplier performance. In this role, you will serve as a key link between demand planning, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, and finance to support a balanced, executable plan.
AS A MATERIAL ANALYST, YOU WILL:
  • Translate approved SIOP plans into actionable material requirements.
  • Validate material feasibility of the consensus demand plan.
  • Identify capacity or material constraints that impact supply plans.
  • Provide input into monthly SIOP meetings regarding material risks and upside opportunities.
  • Support scenario modeling for demand changes, new product launches, or supply disruptions.
  • Execute and maintain Material Requirement Planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizing).
  • Monitor exceptions and proactively resolve shortages.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP system.
  • Escalate supply risks that could impact production schedules.
  • Work with Commodity team to develop mitigation plans for long-lead or high-risk components.
  • Work closely with Supply and Demand planners to ensure alignment.
  • Provide analytics to leadership on material availability.
  • Support Engineering on new product introduction material readiness.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field, or 3-5+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain analysis.
  • Strong understanding of MRP and demand planning concepts.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of SIOP processes.
  • Analytical thinking and scenario planning
  • Attention to detail with a big-picture mindset
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.

Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
