Job description

Role’s Mission: Kids Care staff are responsible for providing a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment for kids during Thursday morning and/or evening adult Bible Studies and other church events.  

Christ Chapel’s Mission: “To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ” (Col 1:28-29). 

Role’s Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to and is supervised by the campus Kids Care Director. 

Role Details: Part-time | Hourly | Up to 10 hours per week (Note: All shifts may not be available each week)

Role’s Schedule: 

  • Regularly scheduled hours are Thursday mornings (8:30 am - 1:30 pm) and Thursday evenings (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) September 2026 – November 2026 and January 2027 - April 2027.  
  • This role involves caring for kids from birth to 5 years in the mornings and birth through 4th grade in the evenings.    
  • All Kids Care staff will be required to work either Christmas Eve services or Saturday Easter services.  
  • Additional opportunities to work will be offered throughout the year during other church events, including events at other CCBC campuses.

Role’s Requirements:  

  • Must be a Christian  
  • Model Christian behavior and values, serving as a positive example to the kids.  
  • Must be at least 18 years old. 
  • Have a genuine love for working with kids and a desire to provide them with a positive and nurturing environment. 
  • Display a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with kids and parents. 
  • Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and needs. 
  • Havea desire to serve in a Christ-centered environment. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check and maintain the high standard. 
  • CPR and first aid certification preferred but not required. 
  • Previous childcare experience preferred but not required. 

Role’s Benefits: 

  • Part-time position with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. 
  • Opportunities for additional hours during special events with approval. 
  • Kids Care for your kids during the time you work. (Birth to 5 years on Thursday mornings and birth to 4th grade on Thursday evenings.)
