JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to conduct compliance inspections and investigations within districts to assist the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) in its enforcement of Coin Operated Amusement Machines (COAM) laws and regulations according to Georgia statutes and GLC Rules and Regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Conducting inspections of licenses, records and equipment at locations that offer coin operated amusement machines and at master license holder facilities.
โ€ข Completing detailed documentation and reports to include issuing citations for non-compliance.
โ€ข Conducting interviews of witnesses and other persons involved in the investigation.
โ€ข Presenting facts and findings of non-compliance in administrative hearings as well as civil and criminal court proceedings.
โ€ข Assisting law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, witnesses, victims, players, complainants and other Georgia Lottery departments.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Political Science or similar education in Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of investigative, criminal process, civil liability, evidence handling, and preparation for prosecution or related experience required.
  • Experience with COAM/gaming is preferred.
  • Peace Officer certification and Instructor certification is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid state of Georgia driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
