Job Description

Are you passionate about doing it right the first time, continuously improving, demonstrating ownership & personal accountability? Are you looking to be part of a growing organization that is an industry leader?  If so, we have a Quality Engineer opportunity at our Greenfield, IN plant that is right up your alley. You will be responsible for ISO, product quality analysis and identifying system improvements for the plant. You will use your analytical abilities & follow up to ensure business results have been statistically improved & sustained. You will collaborate with the team and have responsibility for the following:
    Establish programs, policies & procedures to evaluate precision, accuracy and capability of processes, products, production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
    Support the development and implementation of the corrective and preventative action system, internal non-conformance, and audit findings.  
    Communicate to leaders / managers / employees on improvement projects and activities including the development of training material and conducting training sessions on improvement tools & methodologies.
    Driving the acceptance and adoption of change into previously independent operating units will require a measured, win-win approach.
    Marshaling and motivating individuals without a direct reporting relationship.
    Implementing structured analysis process into complex on-demand problem solving.
 

Qualifications

As the selected candidate, you will have a B.S. in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in a quality role. A demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma will contribute to your success in this role. Additionally, you will have the following:
    Interpersonal Savvy - Build constructive and effective relationships, uses diplomacy & tact
    Strong planning, organizational & project management skills 
    Demonstrated experience in designing practices, tools, processes and procedures which allow monitoring and management at a distance; can impact people and results remotely
    Must have experience in quality control program operations, to include standards & measurement techniques
    Ability to apply quality control theories & principles to an operational environment
    Demonstrated ability to apply strong reasoning skills for problem identification & resolution and to understand the appropriate application of statistical and business improvement tools to achieve and sustain business results
    Ability to travel up to 15%
