Summary/Objective
The coil press operator assumes a processing role in the production of finished parts and is responsible for the following regular and repetitive duties.
Essential Functions

  1. Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals;
  2. Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English);
  3. Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
  4. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not
  5. limited to, work orders and measurements
  6. Must be able to work independently and under close supervision;
  7. Must demonstrate production competency and knowledge of production systems;
  8. Must be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as deemed necessary;
  9. Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including fabricating machinery, band saws, tape measures, mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdriver), overhead crane, etc.;
  10. Must able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds;
  11. Must possess successful problem-solving skills;
  12. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  13. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  14. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes throughout the day.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility upon hiring, however, potential direct reports may be a possibility.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager.
Travel
No travel is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
  1. 2+ years of coil press experience

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Manufacturing/industry experience.
