Job description

The Akima Financial Systems Administrator is involved in the day-to-day support of the Deltek Enterprise in place at Akima, LLC. The Deltek Enterprise currently consists of three On-Prem Deltek Costpoint 8.2 Oracle databases using a combination of multi-org and multi-company configurations, Time & Expense with ESS (T&E) 10 and Cognos. There is also a subsidiary system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Business Central, that will also be supported. The primary focus of this role will focus on supporting Costpoint, T&E and Cognos.
This position is a tremendous growth opportunity for the right person to learn about the leading software used in the government contracting industry.
Responsibilities
  • Costpoint User access management
  • Monitor the Akima Helpdesk tickets received and perform level 1-2 troubleshooting
  • Tracking and recording hot fixes and enhancement updates received from Deltek.
  • Lead teams in Costpoint hot fix/patch testing.
  • Monitor all Deltek Enterprise scheduled activities troubleshoot any issues encountered.
  • Escalate tier 2 and 3 issues to team members for advanced troubleshooting with Senior Enterprise Managers and Deltek.
  • Submit and monitor Deltek Enterprise issues submitted to the Deltek support site for resolution.
  • Monitor the status of the Deltek Enterprise license counts, tasks, departmental user flow.
  • Create and submit monthly metrics/statistics to the Enterprise Director regarding Deltek Enterprise performance.
  • Take the lead on IT projects assigned that involve the Enterprise Apps department.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint multi-company and multi-org configurations setup and functionality.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in resolving GL to PSR to Revenue Worksheet reconciliation issues.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Costpoint's core module functionality in Costpoint 8.2 and T&E 10 or greater.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Costpoint Payroll module functionality including SCA and DBA type employees.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint Materials Product definition, Procurement Planning, Purchasing, Receiving and Inventory modules.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint Pool setups and cyclical burdening processes.
  • Create basic reports and adhoc queries in Cognos Analytics.
  • Other Deltek Enterprise related duties as assigned.
  • Support the administration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (On-Prem).
  • Support the administration of Dynamics 365 Business Centra l(On-Prem).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and reporting on Business Central and CRM.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 yrs. experience working with Deltek Costpoint Core module functionality.
  • 3-5 yrs. experience using Deltek Costpoint Time & Expense.
  • 3-5 yrs. experience using Deltek Costpoint Payroll, Labor and Leave.
  • 2-3 yrs. experience using Deltek Costpoint Procure to Pay Modules.
  • 3-5 yrs. experience using Cognos, Cognos Analytics.
  • Intermediate experience using SQL Developer/Toad to query the databases and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience building and publishing extensions in Costpoint preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Business Central a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI a plus.
  • College degree, vocational, or technical training school, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills.
  • NO remote candidates.
  • This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA.
  • Required Competencies:
