Job description

LV Petroleum is seeking an experienced and adaptable National Shop Manager to support operations across multiple locations nationwide. This role is responsible for traveling to various shops to train teams, support new store openings, stabilize operations, and drive performance improvements.

The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader who can step into different environments, quickly assess operational needs, and elevate team performance through effective coaching and leadership. While this position requires extensive travel, it is designed to transition into a permanent home shop location within the LV Petroleum network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to LV Petroleum locations nationwide to train staff and develop local leadership teams
  • Support new location openings, transitions, and underperforming shops
  • Evaluate operations and implement process improvements aligned with LV Petroleum standards
  • Provide hands-on coaching in daily operations, customer service, and team management
  • Ensure compliance with LV Petroleum policies, procedures, and performance expectations
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization
  • Step in as acting manager or leadership support when needed
  • Build strong, professional relationships across multiple teams and locations

Requirements

  • Extensive nationwide travel required
  • Typical assignments last approximately 2-3 weeks per location
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice based on business needs

A long-term leader who will eventually transition into managing a permanent "home" shop within the LV Petroleum network

Ideal Background:
Multi-unit truck service or diesel shop leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of diesel shop operations, KPIs, workflow, and labor management
Experience leading high-volume truck service environments
Ability to travel nationwide for extended periods as business needs require
Strong communication, accountability, and leadership skills
