The job of a coffee shop manager is to oversee a shift at a cafe or coffee shop. During your shift, you maintain the proper inventory, follow sales, and provide customer service when issues or questions arise. As the coffee shop manager, you also schedule employees for shifts, hire and train new baristas or cashiers, and meet regularly with the shop owner or more senior manager. In addition to your managerial responsibilities, you also perform basic barista duties, including brewing coffee, grinding beans, replacing cups and sleeves, and making espresso drinks.
