Job description

Office Coffee Utility Tech - Columbus/Starkville area

Job Summary: This utility position will have multiple duties including in-house coffee inventory, servicing machines at customer locations, and back up for route delivery. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lives and models BROWN VALUES in everything we do.
  • Reads through all service calls and orders and ensures all products and parts are loaded properly on the truck.
  • Maintains a professional image with customer focus.
  • When assigned delivery duties, delivers and services every customer on the coffee route for that day.
  • Runs route/service calls profitably and efficiently
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer locations.
  • Manages warehouse inventory: placing orders and receiving, verifying and organizing delivered inventory
  • Conduct vehicle pre-trip and post-trip reports 
  • Maintains assigned vehicle(s). Keeps clean and identifies maintenance/safety issues. Operate electronic ordering device and printer.
  • Cleans and refurbishes equipment in-house and on customer sites
  • Secures keys and vehicles daily.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 60 lbs. intermittently 
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Drive a vehicle and enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the shift.

Work Environment:

  • Work in many different environments: outside, inside, break rooms, offices
  • Exposed to cold, hot, and rainy conditions
  • Partial work is in temperature-controlled warehouse

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and approved driving record.
  • Ability to operate ordering and tracking electronic devices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and managers.
