Job description

To begin, work alongside Senior Tech in the field for hands-on training for the first month.

Prior experience is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and Perform field service calls, installations, and preventive maintenance on commercial coffee equipment.

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions utilizing standard electrical test equipment such as volt/ohm meters to identify and implement corrective action.

  • Ability to read schematic diagrams.

  • Maintain service van inventory to effectively and promptly respond to customer calls for service.

  • Maintain the weekly work schedule, which is typically 8am - 5pm, but candidate will need to be flexible as some days will require the workload to be done from 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm depending on the workday.

  • Learn Custom Company App.

  • Required to work anywhere from 8-10 hours per day.

  • Being "tech savvy" and having the ability to learn and operate with our company's software is a plus.

  • Accurately report daily activities for invoicing and tracking.

  • Constant and consistent communication with the Service Manager and Office.

  • Occasional travel outside of the normal work area for service projects.

  • Minor Electrical and Plumbing experience is a MUST!

  • Report to the Service Manager.

  • In house "bench" work if roadwork is slow. 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or vocational training in electrical/mechanical areas or equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience and demonstrated ability in reading schematic diagrams and using appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot commercial beverage equipment as well as that of other manufacturers.

  • Previous experience installing plumbing and associated hardware for beverage equipment, customer service experience, strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Possess the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent telephone manners.

  • Easily learn new software applications.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Highly organized, motivated, and goal oriented.

  • Promote a positive work environment and interaction both internally and out in the field.

Compensation based on experience. (This is negotiable for the right candidate)

((During the Training period, the hourly rate will be 15% less than the proposed hourly rate (for 1 month). Post-training, the position will still require training and shadowing a Senior Tech, but the hourly rate will increase to the proposed hourly rate for the Full-Time position.

If the right candidate has ample prior experience, then the ‘training pay’ will not need to be incorporated.))
