Position Summary

The Insulation Crew Member is responsible for performing high-quality installation of insulation materials used in modular construction. Working individually or as part of a production team, this position installs blanket, blown-in, and spray foam insulation in walls, ceilings, and floors according to work orders, safety procedures, and state codes. This role supports production efficiency, craftsmanship, and overall construction quality in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and gather materials needed using purchase orders and blueprints

  • Complete prep work and install insulation within a controlled environment

  • Ensure compliance with applicable state codes

  • Maintain inventory, tools, and supplies

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas

  • Follow all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Support a cooperative and respectful work environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Proficient knowledge of insulation materials, machinery, industry standards, and codes

  • Ability to operate insulation machines to ensure proper material flow, depth, and density

  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, and work orders

  • Ability to use both manual and power tools

  • Ability to perform overhead physical work for extended periods

  • Ability to use mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, and depth

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds comfortably and consistently

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts; noise levels may be moderate

  • Occasional work in manufacturing areas where safety glasses and hearing protection may be required

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and performing physical labor

  • Requires manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and stamina for extended physical activity

  • Must be able to work in a climate-controlled production environment

Schedule
  • Full-time position

  • Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

  • Evening and Friday work may be required based on production needs
