Medical Billing Specialistย opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Medical Billing Specialist position in our Patient Financial Services department.ย  The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for the insurance billing process for the hospital and clinics. Qualified candidates need to demonstrate the ability to work closely and effectively with all hospital departments, clinics, insurance companies, federal agencies and third party payers to ensure accurate and timely billing of all claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:ย High School Diploma, General equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and other office equipment required. Basic computer skills, data entry.ย  Demonstrates the ability to work independently, prioritize and communicate with other departments, including clinics, ensuring the most effective Revenue Cycle process.ย 
  • Experience:ย Previous medical billing experience preferred.

Remote Option Qualifications: Candidates interested in a remote option for this position must meet the additional criteria

  • 1 year, Critical Access Hospital and or Rural Healthcare Clinic billing experience

Schedule:ย  Full-time, 40 hours/week
