We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Professional Coder (CPC-A) to join our Physician Coding team at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, New York. As a valued member of our healthcare organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely coding of outpatient services.
About the Role:
As a CPC-A, you will be responsible for reviewing and assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient services, including physician notes, lab results, and other relevant documentation. You will also ensure compliance with coding regulations and standards, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date coding records.
Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate and complete ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient services
  • Review medical records, physician notes, lab results, and other documentation to determine proper coding
  • Conduct research to resolve coding discrepancies and questions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date coding records and reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other coding staff to ensure accurate coding practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest coding regulations, guidelines, and standards
