Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating both manual and CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality components in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes and mills

  • Interpret and edit G-codes and M-codes as needed

  • Review drawings, procedures, and work instructions to ensure current revision levels prior to production

  • Operate machinery safely in accordance with manufacturer guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized workspace

  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.) to ensure specifications are met

  • Select appropriate tooling, inserts, and cutters for each job

  • Work within tight tolerances to meet production requirements and deadlines

  • Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and GD&T specifications

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and monitor tool wear; replace tools and inserts as needed

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and overall performance

    Qualifications

    • Experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment
    • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming and editing
    • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
    • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working with materials including plastics, aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and stand for extended periods
    • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team
    • Willingness to work overtime as needed
