Job Summary

Working as the Executive Director of Facilities Management, you serve as the primary representative of SSC Services for Education for the Facilities Maintenance Division within our University campus environment.  You are responsible for coordinating and advising all activities within the designated region through subordinate managers and directors.  The Executive Director is responsible for all matters relating to FM account operations in order to assure the highest client and customer satisfaction levels and account retention.  They are responsible for strong employee relations, achievement of financial goals and future business growth plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a business plan and budget for the region in conjunction with the functional support team
  • Develops financial forecasts and balances programs and resources
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics
  • Responsible for productivity and staffing for all maintenance departments
  • Maintains and supports client satisfaction at a level that ensures account retention
  • Administers required client/customer surveys and responds in a timely and effective manner
  • Promotes client awareness of program alternatives and the availability of corporate resources
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with the provisions of client contracts
  • Assist in customizing programs to meet each account's unique needs as required
  • Conducts quarterly QBR's with client to ensure and communicate program and contract compliance is being met
  • Conducts Regional Audits semi-annually to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and operational systems
  • In conjunction with the Regional Director of Operations and human resources representative develops the region's training plan for management employees and ensures its successful implementation
  • Visits each account on a regular basis to ensure that a positive relationship is maintained with the Director, Department Staff, and key client representatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in Facilities Maintenance (preferably at the Director level) experience in an acute care setting with high customer/client contact required
  • Ability to handle P&L for multiple accounts
  • Ability to communicate optimally in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines
