About the Opportunity

A global organization specializing in specialty coatings and innovative material solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Administrative Assistant to join its Apex, NC team.

This is a strong opportunity for an early-career professional with an interest in chemistry, science, manufacturing, laboratory operations, or technical environments. Responsibilities

  • Enter, organize, and maintain testing results, project information, and supporting documentation in laboratory files and internal systems.
  • Prepare project materials, customer-supplied samples, labels, forms, and other items needed for testing and customer trials.
  • Assist team members with basic application formulations and coating applications using established procedures.
  • Support routine testing of completed samples for physical properties, color, appearance, and flammability.
  • Track project activity and ensure documents, samples, printouts, and testing records are properly filed and maintained.
  • Prepare basic summaries and assist with communicating project findings to internal teams.
  • Assist with coordinating and supporting customer trials conducted at the facility.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members when providing updates or gathering project information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked laboratory and administrative workspace.
  • Enter and retrieve information using SAP, Microsoft Office, and other internal systems.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the team as needed.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of administrative experience preferred.
  • Previous administrative, data entry, office support, laboratory support, manufacturing, quality, or production experience is helpful but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Chemistry, Textile Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field is preferred.
  • Interest in developing a career within a technical, scientific, manufacturing, chemical, or specialty coatings environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to pick up new systems and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
