Position Summary
The Dispensary Supervisor is responsible for leading daily retail operations while ensuring full compliance with all Ohio Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations.
This position serves as the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts and is responsible for coaching employees, driving sales performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting customer service initiatives, and creating a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Success in this role requires balancing compliance, guest satisfaction, leadership, and business performance.
What You'll Do
Lead the Team
  • Coach, develop, and motivate Budtenders
  • Conduct daily shift huddles focused on sales, promotions, compliance, and service
  • Deliver real-time coaching using observation and feedback
  • Assist with, onboarding, and training new employees
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
  • Recognize employee achievements while addressing performance concerns professionally

Delivering an Exceptional Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives friendly, educational, and compliant service
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Support sales initiatives while maintaining ethical cannabis recommendations
  • Promote loyalty enrollment, customer education, and product knowledge
  • Monitor wait times and customer flow throughout the day

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Open and close the dispensary following company SOPs
  • Supervise daily cash handling and register accountability
  • Monitor inventory movement, replenishment, quarantined inventory, and vault organization
  • Complete daily operational checklists
  • Maintain merchandising standards and compliant promotional displays
  • Coordinate with Inventory Management on cycle counts and discrepancy investigations

Compliance & Risk Management
Maintain strict compliance with:
  • Ohio Revised Code Chapter 3780
  • Ohio Administrative Code 1301:18
  • Division of Cannabis Control regulations
  • Metrc inventory requirements
  • Company Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements
Required
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of retail leadership experience
