Job description

Job Title:Recreation and Leisure Assistant

Department:Recreation

Location:700 Island Cottage Road Rochester, NY 14612

Hours Per Week:As needed

Schedule: Weekends only 9:00am-4:30pm

SUMMARY

As a Recreation & Leisure Assistant, your organizational skills, customer service and demonstrated compassion allows you to plan and implement meaningful activities for all residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning & Implementation. Implement group programs and structured individual activities; respond to resident requests; communicate with residents, families, coordinator staff and volunteers
  • Transportation. Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities
  • General Assistance. Appropriately prepare for scheduled activities, including coordination of proper supplies and equipment; log daily activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
