Elkhart, Indiana Accountant

Salary Range: $54,000–$70,000 Schedule: Full-time | On-site

Position Overview

A well-established company in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support daily financial operations, month-end close, and general ledger accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, problem-solving, and contributing to a collaborative accounting team. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting leadership with timely, accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and balance sheet schedules

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

  • Support preparation of financial statements and internal management reports

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries

  • Review AP/AR transactions for accuracy and proper coding
