Job Summary
Mr. Electric of Lawrenceville is expanding, and we are seeking a dependable and motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to build a long-term career in the electrical trade while receiving hands-on training from experienced electricians.
In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will learn proper electrical procedures, safety practices, customer service standards, and applicable electrical codes while working under the guidance of experienced Service Professionals.
This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing quality work, and is committed to learning and advancing in the electrical trade.
Service Area: Lawrenceville, Snellville, Buford, Dacula, Grayson, and Loganville
Responsibilities
  • Electrical Installation and Service Support: Assist experienced electricians with installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, wiring, and components.
  • Training and Skill Development: Learn how to safely use electrical tools, testing equipment, materials, and service procedures. Build a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, local codes, and company standards.
  • Jobsite Preparation: Help prepare jobsites, organize tools and materials, maintain company vehicles, and keep work areas clean, safe, and professional.
  • Customer Experience: Interact with customers in a respectful and professional manner. Assist the lead electrician with explaining the work being performed and help deliver a positive, five-star service experience.
  • Safety and Code Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures and complete assigned work under proper supervision. Help ensure installations and repairs meet applicable electrical codes and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Technology: Accurately record job information, materials used, and work completed using company service software and mobile technology.
  • Teamwork and Accountability: Work closely with electricians, office staff, and other apprentices. Arrive on time, follow instructions, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. 
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in the electrical trade. 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools. 
  • Willingness to learn the National Electrical Code and local electrical safety requirements. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely under the supervision of experienced electricians. 
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, working in attics or crawl spaces, and standing for extended periods. 
  • Previous electrical, construction, maintenance, or vocational-school experience is preferred but not required.
