Charlotte Mechanical is a well-respected mechanical contractor in the Charlotte area. We are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking an HVAC Crew Leader to join our team. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and developing strong field crews.


Job Purpose

The HVAC Crew Leader helps manage multi-family HVAC construction crews by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; supervising employees and subcontractors; completing quality inspections; and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate job expectations and provide clear directions to HVAC crew members
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate job performance, productivity, and workmanship
  • Contribute HVAC construction data to strategic plans and project reviews
  • Implement and maintain production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
  • Identify and resolve project issues; recommend improvements to construction management systems
  • Define project scope, purpose, and resource requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate HVAC crews and subcontractors
  • Establish job-site standards, protocols, and best practices
  • Resolve design and installation issues; evaluate and implement change orders
  • Conduct inspections at critical phases to approve HVAC installation quality
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national HVAC, mechanical, and safety codes
  • Enforce safety standards to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
