Job description

Job Summary:

They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, maintain, and support mission-critical server infrastructure, emphasizing cloud-native and hybrid-cloud architecture. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, automated, and secure infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Participate and/or lead day‑to‑day operations with a focus on availability, resiliency, SRE practices, performance tuning, and capacity/cost optimization.
• Establish strong observability, incident response, and business continuity capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, backups, disaster recovery, and routine testing.
• Drive automation‑first operations using Infrastructure-as-Code (Iac), Ai, and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible/Puppet/Chef), scripting (Bash/Python), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement secure, compliant infrastructure and operational standards (IAM, encryption, network controls, PCI/SOC2), while contributing runbooks, on‑call support, and productivity‑enhancing tooling.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities, consistently meeting or exceeding established Mean Time to Acknowledge (MTTA) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) targets to ensure high service availability.
• Complete on-premises infrastructure training and actively participate in at least one scheduled server maintenance operation across manufacturing facilities.
• Develop a working knowledge of the existing AWS environment and contribute at least two meaningful pull requests to Terraform codebases, supporting infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Engage in the work intake and prioritization process, reliably meeting SLAs for both work acknowledgement and completion to support team throughput and predictability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver at least one measurable improvement to infrastructure reliability or observability, with clearly defined success metrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering, including deep hands‑on expertise in AWS and hybrid (cloud + on‑prem) environments.
• Strong infrastructure engineering fundamentals spanning Linux systems, networking, security, storage, and enterprise application operations.
• Advanced Linux administration and experience operating 3‑tier application architectures, virtualized platforms, and shared storage (e.g., VMware/Proxmox, TrueNAS; HCI a plus).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Swarm) and running container workloads in AWS.
• Strong automation and delivery skills, including Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform), configuration management/scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python), CI/CD pipelines, and observability/incident response tooling.
• Demonstrated cloud security and compliance experience (IAM, encryption, network controls, PCI/SOC2), with working knowledge of core AWS services and platforms (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, including root cause analysis for performance, availability, and networking issues.
• Ability to evaluate, adopt, and standardize AI‑assisted DevOps tools to improve operational efficiency, code quality, and security posture.
Preferred:
• Experience with MySQL, RabbitMQ, and AI‑assisted DevOps
