Job Summary:
Perpay Inc. is a certified B Corp and Philadelphia’s most impactful growth-stage startup focused on improving financial stability for everyday Americans. The Senior Frontend Engineer will lead the design and implementation of frontend features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely and communicate with other members of the development team, including UX designers, product managers, and other engineers, to ensure that the frontend meets the needs of the business and provides an excellent user experience
• Ensure our application is responsive and accessible across different devices and platforms
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Contribute to the engineering design process by bringing forward tradeoffs and opinions on how to weigh them
• Leverage continued research around the changing frontend landscape to bring best practices and innovation to our code, developer experience, and user experience
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience delivering commercial products to market
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams and large, complex projects
• Significant experience with React and the React ecosystem and unidirectional data flow patterns, preferably Redux
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including the latest ECMAScript standards
• Understanding of RESTful APIs
• Experience with optimizing web applications for performance and accessibility
• Product focus and a passion for UX/UI design or familiarity with UX/UI principles
• Strong curiosity about industry trends
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly, with software engineering best practices prioritized over familiarity with specific tools or languages
• History of cross-functional collaboration on mission-critical projects
Preferred:
• Experience with React Native, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is nice to have
