Position: Cocktail Server
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager / Executive Chef, Bar Manager
Basic Job Functions:
As a Cocktail Server, your core responsibility will be to execute excellent guest service in our cocktail lounge space in accordance with Spectator Hotel standards. You are tasked with the knowledge of all things food and beverage as part of the Spectator Bar team. This position has many opportunities for growth within the F&B team, and the Dual Hotel Teams. An ideal Cocktail Server will be able to maintain poise and guest focus during periods of high volume, have excellent interpersonal skills and participate in the execution of award winning bar service at the Spectator Bar.
Task and Responsibilities:
  • Provide our guests with the best, freshest and most timely food service in the Spectator Bar. Ensure that all food is presentable, and hot (if it should be hot), cold (if it should be cold)
  • Adhere to all governmental, DHEC, and Spectator standards for sanitation, preparation, and cleanliness
  • Assist the Spectator Bar team, under leadership of the Bar Manager, in all prep items, food and beverage execution
  • Attention to detail is key while providing excellent, attentive service
  • Excel in maintaining a clean and organized back bar space and lobby lounge
  • Assist in all weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning objectives
  • Communicate all orders to Spectator Kitchen and Spectator Bar to fulfill guest orders
  • Make guests feel at home in the bar lounge and help them find seating and receive food and beverage in a timely manner
  • Maintain constant awareness of the BEO schedules and hotel events. When necessary with setup, breakdown from private and public events
  • Maintaining clear, concise, and professional communication with Spectator Bar staff and Food and Beverage Manager / Executive Chef.
  • Accurate and clear use of Aloha POS for guest checks and food/drink orders
  • Be a catalyst for implementation of existing and changing policies, strategies and ideas that are handed down by management

Minimum Requirements:
  • Excellent, professional communication skills
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
  • Must be able to work under pressure or in the presence of a large guest crowd during offered guest receptions and maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude throughout
  • Must be able to maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude towards all: guests, peers, management without regard of home department, position and/ or heritage.
  • Must be able to handle money and make correct change while using Aloha POS
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes.
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in regulation with company dress code policy
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and MOD
