Job Summary

The Vending Relief Driver & Warehouse Handler supports both route operations and warehouse functions. Responsibilities include servicing vending accounts and assisting with warehouse activities during non-route time. This position requires flexibility, strong customer service, and the ability to perform physical and operational tasks in both environments.

Job Responsibilities

Vending Driver Operations

Service vending accounts by stocking, rotating, and merchandising products to company standards. 

Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure equipment appearance, pricing, and signage are accurate. 

Load and deliver product; maintain appropriate inventory levels based on customer needs. 

Accurately process transactions, including ticketing, cash handling, and DEX operations. 

Troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs; request service when needed.

Warehouse Operations

Build accurate orders and prepare products securely for delivery. 

Receive inbound shipments and restock inventory with proper rotation and date control. 

Perform inventory counts and manage breakage, damage, and loss. 

Meet daily productivity and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience (warehouse, delivery, or related preferred)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Class C driverโ€™s license with clean driving record
  • Experience with local delivery and warehouse operations preferred
  • Ability to safely handle cash and perform basic math functions
  • Forklift/pallet jack experience preferred; certification required upon hire
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.) 
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)   
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout Heartland facility (walking in warehouse) and customer locations (walking in backrooms, aisles)
  • Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product, moving product)
  • Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
  • Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (order confirmation, texting)
  • Pushing/pulling: Frequent use of manual carts
  • Climbing: Frequent entering and exiting the cab of a truck
  • Driving: Frequent travel between customer locations
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons

Pay: $22.00 an hour
