Tranquil Pines Assisted Living in Newport, Oregon, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional care to our residents and clients, focusing on their rehabilitation and recovery from orthopedic conditions. Work Environment

This is an onsite position within our home care facility, where you will be working closely with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. You will have access to modern rehabilitation tools and therapy modalities that facilitate patient recovery, allowing for a hands-on approach to treatment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, utilizing evidence-based protocols to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Develop individualized, goal-oriented rehabilitation programs that focus on improving functional movement, strength, and mobility tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Implement a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation) to treat diagnosed conditions.
  • Provide patient education on long-term health management, including prevention strategies and lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing wellness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless continuity of care and comprehensive treatment of each patient.
  • Engage in mentoring relationships with junior staff and peers, fostering a culture of shared learning and clinical excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on residents and clients experiencing orthopedic issues, such as post-operative recovery, chronic joint pain, sports injuries, and rehabilitation for functional independence. Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Oregon Physical Therapist license, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics or a demonstrated interest in expanding your expertise in this specialty.
  • A strong commitment to whole-person care, believing in empowering patients through their rehabilitation process.
