Job Summary

Manages the daily operations of the Coal Miner's Clinic and Cardio‑Pulmonary Rehabilitation services. Acts as Director to provide operational and strategic oversight for designated departments or service areas, championing safety culture, continuous improvement, and Target Zero performance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations and delivery of services.
  • Maintain knowledge of advanced pulmonary disease and promote best practices in rehabilitation.
  • Research and evaluate equipment and technology related to pulmonary disease.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local coal mining and occupational risk employers.
  • Educate and communicate with current and former coal miners and other at‑risk occupations about available services.
  • Lead the scientific, technical, and program aspects of grant funding for the clinic.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements of grant awards.
  • Publicly recognize HHS grant funding and available services through media.

Position Requirements
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or a healthcare‑related field.
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • RN – Licensed Registered Nurse, eligible to practice in Kentucky.
    • OR RESP – If Bachelor's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy, Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Kentucky and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
