Main responsibilities: 

  • Oversee daily Bakery Department operations, ensuring high standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and customer service 

  • Foster a welcoming, customerfocused environment and resolve customer concerns and special orders 

  • Plan and execute daily bakery production based on sales trends and seasonal demand 

  • Execute merchandising plans, promotions, planograms, and seasonal programs 

  • Manage department sales, labor, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and shrink 

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements 

  • Hire, train, coach, and develop bakery associates while promoting teamwork and accountability 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following: 

Soft skills: 

  • Strong customerservice mindset with a passion for quality and presentation 

  • Effective communication, coaching, and teambuilding skills 

  • Clear communication and the ability to lead in a fastpaced environment 

  • Strong organization, time management, and problemsolving skills 

Competencies: 

  • Bakery production and merchandising execution 

  • Labor planning and scheduling 

  • Sales performance, shrink control, and inventory management 

  • Food safety, sanitation, and compliance oversight 

Knowledge: 

  • Baking, decorating, proofing, and production planning techniques 

  • Food safety standards, temperature controls, allergen handling, and sanitation procedures 

  • Retail bakery operations and highvolume production environments 

Abilities: 

  • Ability to review sales, labor, and production data to inform departmental planning 

  • Ability to train, coach, and develop associates at various skill levels 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot and cold temperature environments 

  • Travel requirements: None 

  • Other requirements: Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct
