Job Summary:
Pittston Co-packers (PCP) manufacturing process uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The Parts Coordinator develops and manages the spare parts inventory to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime. This role ensures effective parts management to support maintenance execution in a beverage manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail oriented and experienced in inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, consumables, and critical spares in the CMMS or inventory system
ยท Issue and track parts for work orders, ensuring timely availability to technicians
ยท Work with vendors to source, order, and receive parts in a timely manner
ยท Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
ยท Manage storage conditions to ensure part quality and readiness
ยท Control parts purchasing within approved budgets and maintain necessary documentation
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
ยท PM schedule adherence rate
ยท Work order closure rate and backlog reduction
ยท Parts inventory accuracy (cycle count compliance)
ยท Maintenance downtime related to parts availability
ยท Vendor on-time delivery rate
ยท Cost control vs budget for maintenance spare parts
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
ยท High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred
ยท 3-5 years inventory management and parts coordination experience
ยท Experience in a food/beverage manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and scheduling abilities
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical parts and equipment terminology
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and documentation
