Engineering Manager


POSITION SUMMARY


This individual works as a member of the Engineering Department by applying their schooling and talents towards a variety of projects. This role will gain experience by learning and supporting new product development, manufacturing process improvements, data collection and analysis, and project leadership.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• New Product Development:
• Materials, product configuration, drawings, and routings
• Manufacturing Process Improvements:
• Metal forming, assembly, welding
• Data Collection & Analysis:
• Conduct tests and experiments, record data, and assist in analyzing results.
• Project Leadership:
• Prepare and maintain reports and technical documentation as needed.
• Project Assistance:
• Support engineering projects through collaborating and problem solving with other team members.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.


EDUCATIONAL/LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


• Actively pursuing BS in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace, industrial are preferred)


EQUIPMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS


•General office equipment, computer applications
•Microsoft 360, Teams, and other communication software
• Skilled and able to learn variety of technical skills with sensors, robot controls, PLCs, etc. Familiarity with various testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS


•Normal work location is in administration/ office environment, a sedentary position.
•Lifting/push/pull office equipment 10-25lbs on an infrequent basis.
•Walking, standing and navigating stairs frequently; follows all safety & PPE standards.
•Ability to perform the essential functions of the job consistent with ADA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
