Capital Project Engineering Co-op - Spring 2027

Where will you work: Riverview Manufacturing Facility: 8813 US Highways 41 South. Riverview, FL Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

The Capital Project Engineering Co-op supports the execution of strategic capital projects, with a strong focus on schedule management and safety. The role provides direct field exposure, collaboration with project teams, and insight into operational and engineering processes within Mosaic. January 11, 2027 to April 23, 2027

Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hoursa week.

in person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with project scoping, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, and construction management for sustaining capital projects

  • Support equipment design and fabrication efforts across pumping and electrical systems, rotary vessels, and tanks

  • Contribute in both lead and supporting roles on projects, gaining experience in supervision and execution across various plant operations

  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.

  • Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.

  • Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What you'll need:

  • Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineer.

  • 2.75 GPA or higher

  • Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.

  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, orworkis preferred.

  • Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

  • Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

  • Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

  • Basic computer skills are required

  • Experience working in a team environment is a must

  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable

  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus

  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
