Co-Op Term duration: January 2027 - August 2027, or May 2027 - December 2027

JOB ELEMENTS & POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide hands-on support to the Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing teams.
  • Participate in Aptar's continuous improvement process by using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Perform root cause analysis to help solve problems in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead small projects & improvement activities to enhance processes throughout the plant.
  • Assist in implementing machine & process changes that support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams focused on cost-saving initiatives & operational improvements.
  • Assist with statistical analysis, solution verification, & validation of improvement countermeasures.
  • Participate in 5S audits & support ongoing 5S improvements across the plant.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Quick learner who can adapt & perform well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated & confident, with the ability to take initiative & drive tasks forward.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively both independently & in cross-functional groups.
  • Experience with-or willingness to learn-AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Excellent organizational & time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with computers & Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.

LOCATION: The student must be able to commute to our site in Mukwonago, WI.

HOURS: This is a Monday - Friday schedule, working approximately 40 hours per week.
