Description:

CNC Industries, a Kadon Company, is a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking an experienced Vertical Mill Operator to join our night shift team. This position is responsible for operating CNC vertical milling machines to manufacture high-precision aerospace components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. We are looking for dependable machinists with at least three years of CNC machining experience who take pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC vertical milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
  • Load and unload parts while monitoring machine performance throughout production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Verify parts meet quality standards and required tolerances.
  • Make tool wear offsets and minor machine adjustments as needed.
  • Replace tooling and maintain proper tool life.
  • Report machine, tooling, or quality issues promptly.
  • Accurately complete production and inspection documentation.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to meet production schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of CNC vertical milling experience required.
  • Experience operating vertical machining centers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Understanding of GD&T and precision machining practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience machining aerospace components or other high-precision manufactured parts.
