Job description

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
    • Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and materials.
    • Make necessary offsets and tool changes during production to maintain dimensional accuracy.
    • Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
    • Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
    • Create and/or edit CNC programs to improve cycle times, part quality, and machine efficiency.
    • Perform routine maintenance on machines and report issues requiring additional repair or service.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality control personnel regarding production issues or improvements.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
    • Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Assist fellow machinists with troubleshooting and support as needed.
    • Perform various other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support production goals.
