Job description

Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment.
  • Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
  • Follow all documented
  • Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Core Competencies:
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities
  • Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a
  • 5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus
  • read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents
  • Strong Manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting)
  • Excellent organizational and communications

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
  • Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and A minimum 4 years of programming experience with lathes, mills, and/or wire EDM.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on­ one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
