Job description

Job Description:
United Precision Products is hiring CNC Machinists and CNC Operators to support our aerospace fastener manufacturing operation in Dearborn Heights, MI.

We are a 100% aerospace manufacturer producing internal engine fasteners, double-ended studs, and precision components used in critical aerospace applications. We are looking for dependable CNC talent who can help us rebuild production capacity and support our second shift expansion.

This role is a fit for someone with hands-on CNC experience who understands machining, measurements, offsets, inserts, and part quality. We are open to different experience levels, but the ideal candidate can work with limited supervision and check their own parts accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Read and follow work instructions, prints, and job specifications
  • Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Check parts for accuracy and quality throughout production
  • Make offsets and basic machine adjustments as needed
  • Change inserts and tooling when required
  • Maintain production pace while meeting quality standards
  • Work with supervisors, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Qualifications:

  • CNC machining or CNC operator experience preferred
  • Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and basic measuring tools
  • Ability to read blueprints, prints, or job instructions preferred
  • Experience making offsets or changing inserts is a plus
  • Aerospace, automotive, fastener, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently once trained
