Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of CNC lathes and mills ensuring optimal machine performance and efficient production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tooling Selection: Identify and select appropriate tools, cutting paths, and speeds for various materials to optimize production efficiency.
  • Setup and Calibration: Set up and calibrate CNC machines, ensuring that machines are configured correctly for each job.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot machine errors, tool wear, and programming issues to ensure smooth operation.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks and inspections during and after the manufacturing process to ensure that parts meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to ensure that production goals are met.
  • Optimization: Continuously improve programs and processes to increase machine performance, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste.
  • Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance of CNC machines and report any major issues that require repair.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or tech school certification in CNC machining, preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator and/or machinist.
  • Working knowledge of G-codes and demonstrated ability to make program edits.
