Job Description
About the Team
The ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. team designs and manufactures hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems for off-highway machines.
As a member of the Machine Shop Team, the CNC Operator/Machinist will be responsible to produce parts for use in saleable product by successfully operating one or more machining centers, turning centers, or hand operation centers, all while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
What you can look forward to as the CNC Operator/Machinist:
  • Interpret blueprint and job specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Operate equipment per written instructions.
  • Read and operate inspection equipment to ensure production of a quality product.
  • Monitor quality per ISO work instructions.
  • Perform adjustments and tool changes as required to maintain part quality.
  • Pack parts properly to prevent damage.
  • Perform necessary daily equipment inspection and maintenance.
  • Complete daily cycle counting in accordance with established procedures

Your Profile as the CNC Operator/Machinist:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Machinist Technical Degree/Certification; or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other electronic equipment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively communicate with others within the organization.
  • Experience with ERP Systems and Microsoft Suite, desired.

The expected base compensation for this role is $24.15 - $34.00 per hour. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
