Job Summary
This position involves the operation of a CNC machine for glass. Operator tracks, locates, and records CNC production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.
This is a 1st shift position which is currently scheduled Monday-Friday 6am - 4pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges. Must be able to read schedules and understand edger's production demands based on information schedules. Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge. Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift. Perform routine maintenance on machines. Complete daily work sheets and forms.
Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements
To be considered for a fabrication position, the following conditions must be met:
• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
