Job description

CNC Operator Needed
Jarvis Cutting Tools is searching for an experienced CNC machine operator for our CNC Department. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards. As the machine operator, the successful candidate will be a skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and manage CNC machines
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Ensure parts are produced to provided specification and complete quality logs.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.

Requirements:
  • This is a 3rd Shift position. (Depending on your level of experience - some time at the start of training will be on 1st shift - the 10% pay differential will apply for this time.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • 2+ Years of factory experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs.
  • Swiss or Lathe experience would be a benefit

Schedule:
  • This is a full-time 40hrs/wk. Monday - Friday position - *please be encouraged to apply even if you have availability restrictions that prevent you from working this schedule.

Compensation:
  • Competitive wage, with a 10% shift differential added, negotiable based on experience
