Position Overview

We are looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join our CNC Team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for preparing the material for the machine and setting up the machine with various jigs and fixtures to secure the product. Using the CNC programs, the operator will be responsible for safely fabricating high quality machined furniture components. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, maintains a high level of attention to detail, and values working in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the selection of tools and position and secure work pieces in fixtures or holding devices.
  • Perform first piece inspection using precision measuring tools and prints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
  • Ability to work independently once fully trained and all questions have been answered.
  • Follow a manufacturing plan that ensures the highest level of productivity without compromising safety. Ask questions when unsure.
  • Confer with your Supervisor with any machine malfunctions and production errors
  • Must display an organized workstation, free from cutoffs and clutter to minimize the potential for an unsafe operating environment.
  • Produce parts that meet all quality criteria, while maintaining an acceptable production rate based on pre-established standards.
  • Train coworkers as needed

  • Comfort and experience working with upper body in standing position and excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment which includes deadline challenges.
  • Commitment to continued learning.
  • Desire to efficiently do quality work with great attention to detail.
  • Comfort and ability to lift at least 35 pounds.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
