Position Summary
The CNC Router Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the Symbotic Router and other associated equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet production and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Operate all equipment safely, following established safety protocols.
  • Set up and operate the Symbotic Router to manufacture parts according to job specifications.
  • Operate jib cranes, table saws, lift tables, and conveyors as needed for material handling and production.
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure adherence to specifications and make necessary adjustments during production.
  • Read and follow the production schedule and job traveler to ensure accurate production sequencing.
  • Maintain accurate data reporting of materials used and products produced.
  • Band and pack finished products efficiently and securely.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards in the Symbotic Router work cell.
  • Monitor tool inventory and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.

Personal Attributes and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of CNC operator experience or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Safety-first mindset - must always prioritize safety while operating equipment.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and maintain legible handwriting.
  • Strong attention to detail to keep accurate records of materials used and product output.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Willingness to cross-train and support other departments or operations based on business needs.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning new skills and progressing into additional roles or advancement opportunities within the company.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Work Environment
Work involves standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting. Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including noise, dust, and moving equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
