JOB TITLE: CNC Operations Manager
PAY RANGE: $110k - $115k | TYPE: Onsite / Menomonie, WI

QUICK SUMMARY:
Looking to step into a leadership role where you can truly impact operations? Prototek is hiring a CNC Operations Manager to lead our machining team, drive efficiency, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Run day-to-day CNC operations across 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe machining
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and machinists
  • Own production schedules and ensure on-time delivery
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to optimize workflow, staffing, and performance
  • Build a strong safety-first culture on the shop floor

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing or production management experience
  • 5+ years of CNC machining and/or programming experience (3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe)
  • Strong knowledge of high-tolerance machining and GD&T
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced machining or job shop environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (MIE Trak preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Machining, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
