Company: RAM Welding, Inc.
Location: Lubbock, TX 79407
Pay: $35.00โ€“$45.00 per hour
Job Type: Full Time
Experience: 10+ years
Machines: CNC lathes, CNC mills, mill-turn

Why this job is worth considering

RAM Welding is hiring 2 experienced CNC Programmer/Machinists to take parts from print to finished product in Lubbock. You'll own the full process: programming, setup, tooling, machining, in-process inspection, and process improvement on tight-tolerance oilfield and general industrial components, made in prototype, short-run, and repeat-production quantities. This is a growing CNC department inside an established, owner-led shop that's built its reputation over more than a decade on precision oilfield welding and fabrication work.

What you'll be doing

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and mill-turn equipment
  • Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and conversational or G-code programming as appropriate
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions
  • Select tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds for a wide range of materials
  • Machine tight-tolerance oilfield and general industrial components in prototype, short-run, and repeat-production quantities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and program issues while maintaining quality and productivity
  • Work with management and shop personnel to improve cycle times, repeatability, and manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Machines, controls and software

Core equipment includes CNC lathes, CNC mills, and mill-turn machines running Okuma and Fanuc controls, programmed with BobCAD-CAM alongside conversational and G-code programming.

What we're looking for

Required

  • 10+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
  • Strong experience programming and setting up CNC lathes and mills
  • Experience with BobCAD-CAM or comparable CAM software
  • Working knowledge of Okuma and Fanuc CNC controls
  • Strong print-reading, shop math, and precision-inspection skills
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and consistently produce quality parts

Preferred

  • Mill-turn experience
  • Experience with oilfield or other demanding industrial components

Pay, benefits and schedule

$35.00โ€“$45.00 per hour, full time.
