JOB TITLE: CNC Mill-Turn Set Up Operator Weekend Shift
JOB SUMMARY

The focus of this role is to set up and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines/fixtures, maintain quality and safety standards, keep records, and maintain equipment and supplies to manufacture machined parts with a strong focus on new product launch and prove out as well as continuous improvement projects for existing product lines.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience working with blueprints, GD&T and technical documents commensurate with machine operation
  • 5+ years of experience with CNC Mill-Turn process from set up to finish
  • 5+ years of experience with Fanuc or other CNC controls
  • 5+ years of experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC Mill-Turn machining
  • 3+ years of experience with CNC Mill-Turn programs including formatting and editing
  • 3+ years of experience machining one or more of the following materials: stainless steel alloys, Copper, Aluminum, and/or Titanium

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use various inspection gages
  • Proficient with use of personal computers
  • Detailed process documentation

CORE DUTIES

  • Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals
  • Set up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)
  • Prove out of new products, fixtures and tooling while documenting for training of production operators.
  • Set up and manage CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform different jobs including drilling, milling, and turning
  • Oversee the in-process machines and make the necessary offset changes to produce improved results
  • Ability to problem solve on new production parts as well as improve on existing production 
  • Advise Production Manager of issues that arise
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs


HOURS

  • Weekend shift
  • Friday - Sunday, 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  
  • Overtime as needed

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
