CNC Machinist Assistants support CNC machinists and operators in manufacturing environments by preparing materials, loading and unloading machines, and performing basic maintenance tasks. They help set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, ensure tools and materials are available, and may assist in monitoring machine operations for quality and safety. This role is often an entry-level position that provides hands-on experience in machine operation, reading blueprints, and understanding manufacturing processes. CNC Machinist Assistants play a key role in keeping production running smoothly and efficiently.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a CNC machinist assistant?

To thrive as a CNC Machinist Assistant, you need a basic understanding of machining processes, mechanical aptitude, and often a high school diploma or technical training. Familiarity with CNC machinery, measurement tools like calipers and micrometers, and safety protocols is commonly required.
