Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

PBC Linear is hiring experienced Machine Rebuild and Maintenance Technicians for our advanced manufacturing operation in Roscoe, Illinois.


Our team supports more than 60 CNC mills and lathes along with custom automation systems, machine rebuild projects, prototype equipment, and new manufacturing technologies.

This is not a typical maintenance position.


Our Machine Rebuild team works on everything from rebuilding CNC machinery and repairing complex mechanical systems to developing custom automation equipment and supporting new patented product manufacturing processes.


If you enjoy solving difficult mechanical problems, rebuilding equipment, improving machinery, and working with highly skilled technical teams, this is an opportunity to do meaningful hands-on engineering and manufacturing work every day.


Conveniently located for candidates commuting from Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Rockton, Caledonia, Beloit, Janesville, and surrounding communities.


What You'll Work On

  • Repair, rebuild, and overhaul CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine system failures
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex industrial machinery
  • Rebuild and recondition CNC machine components and assemblies
  • Repair spindles, shafts, gear trains, valves, cylinders, and bearings
  • Replace ball screws, linear guideways, and precision mechanical components
  • Align machine spindles, slides, and mechanical systems
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Assist with custom automation equipment and in-house manufacturing improvements
  • Train operators to help reduce machine downtime and prevent equipment damage
  • Support development of new manufacturing processes and patented products


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of machine rebuild, industrial maintenance, or machine repair experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience dismantling and rebuilding complex machinery
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions
  • Experience with CNC machine repair and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, bearings, shafts, gear trains, pneumatics, and machine alignment
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


Preferred Skills

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Preventative and predictive maintenance experience
  • Automation or custom equipment experience
  • Toolmaking or precision fitting experience
  • CNC machining experience
