CNC Lathe Operator

We have Immediate full-time opening for experienced Mazak CNC Lathe Programmer / Set-up & Machine Operation Operator. The ideal candidates will need to perform all of their own set-ups, write their own programs in Mazatrol and have an excellent understanding of process, tooling, gauging and recognize risk areas of the parts being machined. We have a clean, modern, climate controlled & safe work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for optimizing each machining process to produce the most efficient and productive process possible.
  • Programming CNC lathe using Mazatrol.
  • Perform set-ups.
  • Perform all required inspection checks to ensure parts are in tolerance and meet customer requirements
  • Responsible for using the correct inspection equipment and tools to perform quality checks.
  • Responsible for maintaining and storing all cutting tools, inspection tools, and specialized machine cell equipment to required standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance activities, such as checking fluids etc.
  • Clean and deburr parts as required.
  • Participates in QC/continuous improvement processes in support of increased efficiencies

Education / Experience

  • High School or Equivalent work experience within tool manufacturing co.
  • 5-year minimum job shop experience programming & setting-up CNC Lathes machining equipment
  • Strong math and measuring skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and interpret computer programs sent to machine centers
  • Ability to operate large overhead crane and operate forklift
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
