CNC Machining Setup Technician โ€” 2nd Shift

For more than five decades, MTE Hydraulics has engineered and manufactured high-quality hydraulic power units, pumps, motors, and flow dividers in the United States. We partner with OEMs worldwide to deliver dependable, high-performance components.

A Day in the Life

On 2nd shift, youโ€™ll take precision parts from blueprint to finished component. Youโ€™ll stage tools, load programs, dial in offsets, verify critical dimensions, and keep production moving safely and smoothly.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, including keyways for shaft production
  • Set up and run CNC equipment for drilling, milling, grinding, and turning operations
  • Translate drawings into machine-ready dimensions and program/offset adjustments
  • Monitor cycle performance and make on-the-fly corrections to maintain quality
  • Inspect parts to confirm accuracy and repeatability
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on assigned machines
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of CNC/manufacturing experience
  • Lathe and/or horizontal mill background preferred
  • Fluent in reading blueprints, gauges, and keyway specifications
  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
