Job description

Join a 100-year-old tradition of excellence and innovation at the Winco Window Co. and contribute to the lifeblood of our company, our production. In this position, you will be part of a small team working with our automated equipment and will be on the front line of being new equipment to our day-to-day manufacturing effort.
Work with several CNC mills and CNC saws as well as other automated equipment in a unique industry. Grow your skills in both physical operation and machine programming.
Normal shift work is available from 7:00 am to 3:25 pm and 3:30 pm to 12:00 am with overtime opportunities.
Compensation is based on skills and experience. Applicants with 3-5 years of CNC operation experience and some programming experience should expect $20- $25 per hour starting offers. Applicants with operation experience only should expect starting pay of $17-$20 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CNC and Machine Operator:
  • Learn the functions and operations of several saws, CNC, and PLC-driven machines.
  • Work with blocking and tooling for the different equipment.
  • Learn how to clean the equipment and follow cleaning procedures as necessary.
  • Learn how to repair the equipment as needed and within the scope of responsibility of an operator.
  • Set up equipment for other employees to run; train them to run the equipment and report accuracy as needed.
  • Changing out tooling and setups.
  • Evaluation of tooling.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understand and interpret blueprint and technical drawings for machining.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent skills in measurement and communicating about measurements.
  • Good math skills.
  • Good problem-solving.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work shift work in a factory environment.

Skills desired but not necessary:
  • Familiarity with CAD.
  • Familiarity with Cam-style software for CNC programming.
  • Management experience 2-10 people.
